Introduction

Interpharm GmbH Ltd is a Nigeria-based company, which business is importation, sales and distribution of medical devices, accessories and consumables of European Origin. We operate mainly in the areas of Radiology, Urology, and Biopsy.

Interpharm GmbH Ltd was incorporated in 1996 as a Medical and Pharmaceutical concern, in response to the yearnings of many Nigerians for regular accessibility to genuine, premium quality, specialty drugs and diagnostic inputs. The company, at that time, concentrated mainly on sourcing specific rare medications and diagnostic inputs for its discerning clients.

In the year 2000, upon assumption of Mr. Saliu Bello as the helmsman, the company redefined its business to cater for a wider area of need. Saliu Bello, (the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer), a 1983 graduate of Pharmacy from the Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife, had worked for various Pharmaceutical Multinationals (such as Pfizer, Roche and Reckitt Benckisser) and held Senior Management positions till his resignation in December 2000 to drive impetus to the vision of Interpharm GmbH Ltd. Another founding director, Mr. Ituah Ighodalo, is a renowned Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He is a 1982 Economics & Accounting graduate of the University of Hull, England. He is the Managing Partner at Ighodalo & Co and partner at SIAO Consulting.

As Chief Executive/Chief Operating Officer, we have Rashidat Saliu-Bello who contributes her knowledge resulting from nearly 4 decades post-qualification diverse experience in professional banking, finance, management consulting, business administration, as well as specialized knowledge from post graduate studies at the University of Lagos, and the Lagos Business School respectively.

Currently, for radiographic devices, accessories and consumables (such as items for medical and dental x-ray, radiation protection apparel, etc.) we partner with Primax-Berlin GmbH, Germany; while for radiological inputs (such as contrast agents for Radiography, CT, MRI, Cath Lab, etc.), we partner with Sanochemia Pharmazeutika GmbH, Austria. For our Interventional Radiology, Urology and Biopsy products, we partner with well-established European companies, well-known for premium quality. We also have relationships with a few other first-rate European companies in our areas of business.

Our clientele spans major Teaching Hospitals, Large and Corporate Medical Institutions, Public and Private Hospitals, and Diagnostic Centres across Nigeria and some neighbouring West African countries.
